Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
